Before I cut my heart open and let the air out
Three bugs, a pound of dust
Some wind spilled before me
In the strangest manner that had
Broke away my tear spout

This is my entry for this contest: [link]
I'm doing the music inspiration part, of course [isn't all of my stuff inspired by music?] This image has been in my head, in one form or another, for awhile now and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to get it out. I know I didn't do all that much, but I feel like it is done so I'll leave it be. It conveys what I wanted it to.
On a side note, this image reminded me of Magritte's The Son of Man...if only for the pose and the rounded umbrella resembling the famous hat. And the blocked face, of course.
